DOG TREATMENT

Many dog are susceptible to musculoskeletal discomfort and can exhibit a range of symptoms to show this. The dog has an increased flexibility in the spine when compared with the horse, this unfortunately can mean that back pain is common particularly in dogs that lead an active life. On the positive side usually dogs respond fairly quickly to treatment. Have a look at the list below for potential causes of back and muscle pain in dogs:
  •  Rough play with other dogs
  • Tugging/shaking games (problems in neck)
  • Pulling on lead (problems in neck!)
  • Accidents/falls
  • Falling on a slippy surface
  • Weak conformation
  • Compensation/muscle wastage from injury
  • Dogs in hard work i.e. racing greyhounds, gundogs, agility dogs
